Rage

I debated on whether to post this about the road rage incident in the UK or not since it's a fairly divisive issue but decided to go ahead and put the vid up as well as my thoughts about it...........First off I am a cyclist and have been subjected to some abuse and dangerous situations while out riding and many of my friends have as well.  But after viewing this clip several times in full screen mode and watching the cyclist's actions I am of the opinion that he should have been charged as well as the bus driver.  His actions were just as deplorable and endangered lives as well.  Don't get me wrong, I am NOT defending the bus driver, he is damn lucky he didn't kill the cyclist or anyone else (chain reactions) and his conviction is well-deserved but I do not think "oh poor, innocent cyclist" after watching this either.  Just because you are on two wheels doesn't mean you are exempt from safe road conduct any more than any other vehicle.

I happen to agree here...
I used to be a cyclist and what that guy on the bike did begged belief, let alone the incredibly crazy action of the bus driver.

You can see the cyclist appear from the side of the bus, take up a position dead centre of the lane in front of the bus and appear to thwart the progress of the bus.
As the bus indicates and moves sharply to the 2nd lane - it's quite clear the cyclist purposefully moves over too, without indication!
Infact the cyclist appears to be trying to the impede the bus right up to the point where the bus is used as a weapon.

I certainly don't agree with what the driver did unless the guy pulled a gun (which he didn't) but seriously? no charges for the cyclist to face??!!

1. He caused a driver to deviate purposefully from his route.
2. He was directly baulking the passage of the bus and the flow of traffic.
3. The bus was full of people
4. Managed to change the demeanour of a professional driver who is used to abuse and road rage from others.
5. His initial actions were dangerous and careless with no regard or thought of safety for himself, the passengers or others.

As for the Bus driver... Had the cyclist not done those things, I'd have expected his sentence to have been much, much longer.

Not only has he nearly killed a man, but is now serving time, lost his job and his professional qualification...

TWB, some more excellent points. I'm still dumbfounded by the cyclist's actions here and the fact I've not seen anyone else point them out.
